Common questions
Can I just buy barcodes online?
Cheap resold codes are usually foreign prefixes and marketplaces increasingly reject them. GS1 India codes carry your own company prefix.
Is a barcode a legal requirement?
No, but Legal Metrology labelling still applies to the pack — see Legal Metrology Registration.
