Mandatory for exporting fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, cereals and processed food.
APEDA registration fee ₹5,000 plus GST, paid online.
Barcode (GS1) Registration
GS1 barcodes so retailers and marketplaces will list your products.
GS1 India subscription extra — it scales with turnover and the number of barcodes; we quote from GS1’s current fee table before you commit.
GeM Seller Registration
Sell to government departments through the Government e-Marketplace.
No registration fee. A refundable caution deposit applies once you start bidding, and OEM vendor assessment carries its own fee.
Legal Entity Identifier (LEI)
The 20-character code banks now ask for on large transactions.
LEIL issuance fee extra — a few thousand rupees for a new LEI and a lower annual renewal fee.
